When you delete a user with direct reports in Google Workspace mode, you can now hand the whole team over to a new manager in one step. Pick the replacement in the delete user screen, and we’ll update every direct report’s manager in Google Workspace before completing the deletion.
That means no leftover dangling reports and no spelunking through Google Admin afterward to clean things up manually — the org chart stays tidy on its own.
A few notes:
- Scope: Google Workspace–only mode. JumpCloud + Google customers were already covered — JumpCloud handles this reassignment natively.
- The whole report tree comes along. Every person who reported to the deleted user gets reassigned in a single pass.
- No replacement selected? Direct reports stay as they are until you assign them a new manager.
