Setting someone’s profile photo used to mean a trip to the Google admin console. Now it’s right on the user’s page in ShiftControl.
Open a user, upload an image, and it writes straight to that person’s Google Workspace profile picture, the same photo that shows up in Gmail, on Calendar invites, and everywhere else Google puts them. Handy on a new hire’s first day, and handy for clearing out the wall of gray initials in your directory and org chart.

One limit worth knowing: this needs a Google account to write to, so it’s available for users who exist in both your JumpCloud and Google directories. JumpCloud-only users see the option disabled with a note explaining why, rather than accepting an upload that quietly goes nowhere.
- Upload from the user detail page, with no Google admin console detour
- Writes to the user’s real Google Workspace profile picture
- Oversized or unsupported images are rejected up front with a clear reason
- Disabled with an explanation for JumpCloud-only users
