Cancelled a tool? Tell your AI assistant. The ShiftControl MCP server can now archive, restore and delete apps, so cleaning up after a cancelled subscription is one message instead of a trip through the app menu.
How It Works
- Archive one app or several at once. Archiving removes sign-in setup and assignments but keeps the app’s cost and contract history, the same as archiving in the web app.
- Bring an app back. Your AI can unarchive an app, and tells you that it comes back with no one assigned, so you know to re-add access.
- Delete for good. Before deleting, your AI reminds you that this can’t be undone, and that deleting the app in ShiftControl doesn’t remove people’s accounts inside the app itself.
- Find archived apps. Ask for archived apps and your AI can list them, so it’s easy to see what’s been retired or pick one to restore.
- ShiftControl stays put. The built-in ShiftControl app can’t be archived or deleted, just like in the web app.
As always, your AI acts with your permissions and asks before it changes anything.
Getting Started

- Try “We cancelled Loom. Archive it.” or “Show me our archived apps.”
- Confirm the change when your AI asks.
