When external directories like JumpCloud or Google Workspace get out of sync with what ShiftControl expects — usually because of a missed event, an outage, or someone editing membership directly in the directory — your groups can quietly drift out of alignment. Until now, the only way to fix it was to notice the downstream effect and manually re-save the parent group.

Two changes fix that.

The hourly sync now self-heals. If our periodic sync notices that a nested group member is missing from JumpCloud, it pushes the correction automatically. No more permanent drift from a missed event.

The Group Info sidebar now warns you when something’s off. Members who exist in ShiftControl but are missing from the live JumpCloud or Google group get an amber warning icon next to their name, and a banner at the top of the Users tab tells you how many members need a re-sync. Hover any warning icon for a tooltip explaining exactly which directory they’re missing from.

  • Hourly sync auto-fixes nested-group drift in JumpCloud
  • Per-member warning icons in Group Info sidebar and Quick View
  • Tooltip explains which directory is out of sync
  • Group-level banner counts unsynced members at a glance
  • Save the group from the UI to push corrections immediately
