Every table in ShiftControl that could already export to Excel or CSV can now export to PDF too. Pick PDF from the same export menu and you have a clean, printable page for the auditor, the board, or anyone who would rather read than filter.
A PDF full of raw codes is not much use, so we also checked what the exports actually contain. Excel, CSV and PDF all copy the text behind each cell, and some columns only showed their friendly labels on screen. An export could hand you a raw timestamp where the table showed a tidy date, or a blank where it showed an MFA type. Exports now contain the same text you see in the table.
A few of the fixes:
- Dates export as readable dates instead of raw timestamps
- MFA type shows the method instead of an empty cell
- API keys with no expiry say Never instead of 0
- User status reads Active or Disabled instead of ACTIVE or SUSPENDED
The PDFs are built to be read:
- Pages are landscape, and text wraps so short words never break in the middle
- A table too wide for A4 moves up to A3 instead of squeezing its columns
- Where you can choose columns, export either the visible ones or all of them
One small fix on the same screens: clicking the Columns tab on a table’s side bar used to close the panel but leave the tab strip behind. It now hides the whole side bar, the same as the toolbar button.
