If you administer more than one organization in ShiftControl, you’ve probably kept a spare browser profile around just to have two of them open at once. You can retire it.

Every organization now has its own bookmarkable console URL. Open one org in one tab and another org in another tab, in the same browser, and they both stay exactly where you put them. Switching organizations in one tab no longer drags the other one along with it.

How It Works

  • Each organization gets its own address. Bookmark it, share it, duplicate the tab, reload it: the tab stays on the organization named in its own URL.
  • No more cross-contamination. The active organization used to live in one shared browser setting, so the last tab to switch won and the others quietly followed. Now the URL is the authority, one per tab.
  • Nothing changes if you don’t need it. If you work in a single organization, or you just use the regular links, everything behaves exactly as it does today: same URLs, same switcher, same experience.
  • Access checks are unchanged. The organization in the URL is still verified against your membership on every single request. The address picks an organization; it never grants access to one.

Getting Started

  1. Open the organization you want.
  2. Bookmark the URL from the address bar.
  3. Repeat for your other organizations.
  4. Open those bookmarks in separate tabs and work across all of them at once.
